Sisters Rainy and Lela Miatke started out singing at bluegrass jams in southern Oregon and northern California when they were 6 and 8 years old. They took up the fiddle and the mandolin, and soon after that they started a band with their dad Ray backing them up on guitar. Bassist Lucas Brinkerhoff joined the band in 2016. Now at the ages of 15 and 17 they have released two studio recordings, "The Steps Of Solarest" (2011) and "Black Mountain Mustang" (2015) and have already appeared on stage with such notable performers as Laurie Lewis, John Reischman, Alice Gerard, Tony Trischka, and Tristan and Tashina Clarridge.  They base their sound in traditional Bluegrass, along with original songs and tunes.
