A Special “Thank-You”

There is often a fear when I begin to list names of people who have donated their talents and their resources in making this book project a reality.  So, let me just preface this with, you know who you are and if I inadvertently miss placing your name in this list, hang on for your heavenly rewards!

First, I would like to thank our creator God.  I am humbled that He would choose me to assist Him in His work.  He is almighty, all knowing and all powerful.  He knew before He created us that He would uniquely gift all those who have participated in the project to bring hope to the hopeless and glory to His name.  I can take no credit for these books as it was He who penned them; I simply held the pen.  He provided resources to individuals who graciously and unselfishly gave.  May God be praised for the blessings that flow out of obedience.   May you who gave, be blessed!

Thanks to my husband, Chuck…  Without your enduring love, late nights, constant encouragement and creativity, these manuscripts would be sitting in a drawer.  Thank you for your belief in me and for your passion for orphans.  I love you…

My daughters Chelsea Grace, Hope Lu and Chloe Elizabeth…I love you girls more than you’ll ever know.  You are all 3 tremendous blessings from God.  You add so much color to my world and grow me beyond my wildest dreams.   I pray you will always know of my love, but more importantly, I pray you will always know of His great love for you!  “Wo ie ni!”  ("I love you")

Trude…WOW!  What can I say…I have been so incredibly blessed by your friendship.  You committed to this project with little knowledge of international adoption but a huge heart for children.  You talked with folks, researched and spent endless hours on the phone with me.  I don’t know how you were able to take all that was in my heart and put it in picture form…but you did!  Very few people would ever know that we’ve never even met!  This proves what the love of our Lord can do.  You are precious…my only regret is that your mother passed away before the project was complete.  I know she’s proud of you!

Mily…you are a rare find…a precious jewel!  God has gifted you in SOO many ways.  I only wish you could fathom the depth of those gifts.  The thing I treasure most about you is the size of your heart!  I fail to understand how a heart the size of yours can be housed in such a small body…I’m most grateful that God brought us back together even after all these years.  I would have never guessed on the day of my wedding, that you, our photographer, 17 years later, would be my publisher!  God is always full of surprises!!!

Mark “Wolfie-baby”…your friendship means more than you’ll know.  I pray our daughters will always have a strong bond, knowing together we traveled half way across the world to the province of Hunan to bring them home! They were “buds” before we knew them.  Your assistance and belief in this project is deeply appreciated.  May God heal your color printer that was knocked out by the lightning while working on these books in the early stages!  (-:    (Your “proud papa” picture is in the background at the end of the second book!)

To my sea of family and friends…your love spills forth and my cup runs over!  Your encouragement and support is overwhelming. Blessings to each of you…

I love you all!
Sarah
